The Lighthouse Montessori Canada School is highly accessible and conveniently located in Guelph. It’s just a short walk from the famous University of Guelph. And also close to the Guelph Research and Development Centre.
Our facility is a serene green space that includes indoor and outdoor amenities surrounded by ravines and natural landscapes. It is the perfect place for children to learn while experiencing clean and fresh air and calming and nurturing effects.
Classrooms are clean, organized, and sanitized diligently, following the Ontario Public Health Standards for educational facilities.
Our team consists of highly experienced Montessori educators, including administrators, teachers and teaching assistants passionate about childhood education. Moreover, we get it. We are also parents and caregivers who are serious about childhood education but can make teaching fun. We teach young people the tools and skills necessary to face life with integrity and dignity, preparing them for the real life.
Our team is an authorized and certified Montessori educational facility, with many of our staff holding the following designations:
The Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE)
The MACTE is dedicated to improving academic certification for Montessori education professionals at the Infant and Toddler stages through Secondary II levels, assuring the public of their quality.
Association Montessori International (AMI)
Graduates of the AMI diploma are respected for the diploma's authenticity, quality and high standards. The program provides real-world training, wherein graduates learn the framework and tools for successfully teaching what works for each child, regardless of their background and developmental stage. It fosters a hands-on and collaborative Montessori education that benefits children worldwide.
The College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
The College of Early Childhood Educators provides accreditation to Early Childhood Educators. RECEs are highly in tune with young children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs. They know how to develop and use inclusive and equitable educational programs that underpin the healthy development of children.
We empower and teach children how to embrace and triumph in a variety of environments, equipping them with the tools necessary to face and navigate the real world with passion and self-confidence.
We believe these principles are essential to developing people who exhibit intellect, health, positivity, emotional awareness, social activism, and a never-ending desire to learn.
We deliver and guarantee an authentic Montessori education.
An ability to grow and evolve in an ever-changing environment is an invaluable skill, one that children at Lighthouse Montessori Canada learn early. This ability is ingrained in every aspect of our teaching methodology.
We value the fundamentals in education, encourage interest in academics, music, and arts, and build solid family values.
Deep love for child
Children feel comfortable revealing their innate and most significant potential through deeply loving bonds.
We foster an inclusive and collaborative education that leads to meaningful and authentic relationships.
We engage learners to explore the world at their pace by listening to their bodies, mind, and senses.
Independence is the aim of education
here. Our teacher helps to direct a child’s innate psychological development.
Early integration into their community contributes a key role in promoting a sense of visibility and inclusion in society.
A parent’s insight and perspective
are the anchors for success in early childhood development.
My daughter has been enrolled into CASA Program at Lighthouse Montessori Canada School. I am very pleased to see how attached she became to her new classroom environment. She has become more independent and uses broader vocabulary to express her thoughts and wishes. She is passionate about reading stories, printing and making crafts. She adores group work to create monthly projects. The teachers are nice and caring always ready to provide updates on my daughter's day. I would gladly recommend this school to anyone who appreciates quality education and individual approach to met your child's needs
We joined CASA Program at Lighthouse Montessori Canada school as soon as we came to Canada from another country. My main concern was that my son could not communicate in English as we use different language at home. We are so much appreciated to his teachers to make this transition as smooth as possible for all of us. He is happy to go to school and shares news about his new friends, works and activities. We really liked modern concept of their classrooms, everything is well-thought and organized to meet the child's needs. We highly recommend this school to parents who value progressive academic approach to learning combined with teachers' dedication.
Our choice of Lighthouse Montessori Canada School was justified by two main factors: facility and learning. Our toddler is thriving in different aspects starting from increased independence in taking care of himself and environment to improving his speech, focus, fine- and gross-motor skills. We appreciate daily feedback from teachers regarding our son's day, nap and meals. Through school'a smart phone application we have an opportunity to send and receive information on school's updates, monthly themes, books read in class. In other words to be on top of the latest news which is very important for better understanding of how the classes go.
